US Study Tour

Over the past two weeks, our team has been visiting Montessori schools across the US as part of a focused study tour, gathering ideas and building connections to strengthen our programs.

We’ve spent time in classrooms, spoken with students and educators, and explored adolescent farm and real-world learning programs. These insights will directly inform our planning, particularly for our Karnup site. We’ve also built valuable relationships with experienced practitioners who are generously sharing practical advice, resources and ongoing support.

A highlight of the trip has been exploring potential Odyssey opportunities for our Senior School students, including programs connected to future-focused industries such as space exploration. These visits have reinforced how meaningful real-world learning is for students.

This study tour is about learning from established Montessori communities and bringing back ideas we can thoughtfully adapt to our own context, ensuring our students continue to benefit from a rich learning environment, while also strengthening their understanding of sustainability and preparing them for future study and pathways beyond school.
