Karnup: Montessori Infant Toddler Program

A Foundation for the Whole Family, Centrally Located for the Rockingham-Mandurah Region

Our Karnup site is perfectly situated to serve as a community hub for families throughout the Rockingham-Mandurah corridor. This specialised environment is designed for children from age one to three and their parents to engage with the Montessori philosophy side-by-side.

Commonly known as Playgroup, our program provides a gentle, intentional start for families in Baldivis, Port Kennedy, Madora Bay, and Lakelands. While the Montessori journey can begin from infancy at our Childcare Centres, our Karnup Infant Toddler Program offers a unique opportunity for parents to be active participants in these formative years. It is a calm, beautifully prepared space that respects the child’s natural pace and budding independence.

A Space for Parents and Children

Unlike traditional playgroups, our Karnup program is designed to support you as much as your child. It is a place to:

  • Nurture Early Independence: Discover how even the youngest children can master practical skills—from tidying away their own activities to pouring their own water. These small successes build a massive foundation of confidence and "can-do" spirit.

  • Observe and Discover: Learn the Montessori art of following your child’s interests and developmental needs, noticing the "sensitive periods" where they are most ready to learn new skills.

  • Find Community: Connect with like-minded families who value a gentle, intentional approach to early childhood.

  • Prepare for the Future: Build the foundational social and emotional skills that lead into our Childcare and Primary programs.
