Step 1: Discover & Observe

Join a school tour to view our classrooms and meet the Principal.

Pro-Tip: If you are new to the Montessori method, ask to book an ‘Observation’—a quiet, 30-minute session to see the magic of the classroom in action.

Step 2: Register Interest

Following your tour, you will receive a digital application link.

Note: Submitting the online application form registers your interest only and does not commit you or the School to a place.

Step 3: Experience the Classroom

Once a potential place becomes available, you and your child will be invited for an interview and later a class orientation, after which your child will attend trial days.

The Interview: A conversation with the Principal to discuss your child’s unique needs.

Orientation: A brief "meet and greet" with the teacher and a classroom walkthrough.

The Trial: A two-day (or longer) in-class stay for your child to settle in and meet their future peers.

Step 4: Join the Community

Once everyone is happy, we will issue a formal Letter of Offer.

Complete the Enrolment and Fee Agreements.

Pay the Enrolment Fee and Bond Deposit.

Welcome to West Coast Montessori!

Waiting lists

Waiting lists are common, especially for children wanting to enter our Children’s House (age 3 to 6 years), Submission of applications in advance are essential. Applications for enrolment are processed on a first come, first served basis, with priority given to siblings of current students, or children who have previous Montessori experience. Please contact Enrolments (enrolments@wcm.wa.edu.au) to ask about current availability of places.

Enrolment Steps - Childcare

Step 1: Book a Private Tour

Experience our environment first-hand with a guided tour of the service. We’ll share a snapshot of our daily operations and Montessori philosophy. If you feel we are the right fit, you can complete a Waiting List form during your visit.

Step 2: Join the Waiting List

Once your Waiting List form is submitted, we will contact you to confirm your place. When a vacancy arises that matches your needs, we will reach out, typically four weeks before your requested start date, to begin the formal application.

Step 3: Enrolment & Documentation

We will formally offer you a place via phone and email. You’ll receive a link to our online enrolment portal to submit essential documentation, such as your child’s Medicare Immunisation History. Once the paperwork is complete, we’ll schedule your orientation visits.

  • Note: We do not charge for orientation visits; they are a vital part of a successful transition.

Step 4: Orientation & Commencement

Orientation begins with a 30-minute parent-educator meeting to discuss your child’s routine and needs. This is followed by two solo visits for your child to build confidence. After the second successful visit, your child is ready to officially commence their first day of care!

  • Admin Onboarding: During the first week, we’ll help you set up our mobile app and finalise account details.
