Lakelands Infant Toddler Program
There’s always something different happening at our Lakelands Infant Toddler Program (playgroup), and the children have been busy getting involved in all sorts of activities. From painting and exploring colour to shape puzzles and water play, there’s plenty to keep little hands busy as they learn through play and exploration.
Lately, the children have especially loved rolling up their sleeves for practical life activities, like spreading their own snack! Watching a toddler focus on holding their toast steady with one hand while carefully working a small knife with the other is pretty amazing. Beyond building fine motor control and hand-eye coordination, giving toddlers the tools to prepare their own food builds incredible confidence. You can instantly see the pride on their faces when they take that first bite, knowing they did it all on their own.
