Hooked on Adventure
The Adolescent Program’s Outdoor Adventures classes have just commenced a fishing unit and spent Monday afternoon at Long Point putting their skills into practice.
One student was lucky enough to hook this decent-sized Australian Salmon. After making several strong runs, it was safely landed on the beach. The fish was successfully released immediately after this photo, allowing it to continue on its way.
Fishing is just one of the many activities our students enjoy through Outdoor Adventures. From mountain bike riding and snorkeling to fishing, the program gives students the opportunity to get outdoors, try new things, learn practical skills and build confidence, while developing an appreciation for the natural environment around them.
