Hands at work, minds at play
Our children across all age groups are engaging in the Hand Transfer activity — a simple yet powerful Montessori practical life exercise. By moving objects from one container to another, children are developing fine motor skills, improving hand-eye coordination, and building concentration. This activity also encourages independence, as children learn to control their movements with intention and care, gaining confidence in their abilities with each successful transfer. Best of all? It strengthens the pincer grip — a crucial step in preparing for writing. It’s amazing to see how focused and capable our little learners are, fully immersed in purposeful work that supports both their physical development and growing sense of self.
