Creativity takes courage: The Arts’ Showcase of 2026

Wow, what an unforgettable night at the 2026 Arts Showcase!

A massive congratulations to our incredible students. Watching them grow in confidence and absolutely own the stage made us so proud! From the fantastic band performances and drama plays (Shrek and Zombie Apocalypse!) to the stunning art and fashion displays, their talent blew us all away.

A huge thank you goes out to the Adolescent Program Staff and Students. A special shout-out to Michelle and Marie for leading the show, Bec and Selia for guiding the visual artists, and Anne Marie for leading the team behind that delicious, sold-out menu!

We packed the house this year, so next year, make sure to grab your tickets early.

Read more about the night! Student writer Elliot has put together a great summary of the evening, featuring quotes from students and staff:

The 2026 Arts’ Showcase has arrived! After months of planning and organising, the event was finally here and delivered a powerful message to everyone who attended.

Taking place at the Rockingham Montessori School Adolescent Program on the 25th of June, many students came prepared with their amazing pieces of art to present. From paintings and sketches to photographs and garments, there was creativity written all over the place. But that’s not all.

Some of our students prepared songs for the audience. All of their singing was marvellous and delivered powerful notes to us. Then the drama plays were saved for last. Featuring the Shrek Spin-off and 10 Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse, both drama acts were indeed adventurous, dramatic and even humorous at some parts!

“I think it was good, especially the last play which was the most entertaining but I think it was all good.” - Bailey

“I thought it was amazing to see all of the different types of art we had come together with because presenting is an essential part of the creative process.” - Ms Selia

“It was very good with a lot of art which was very colourful and detailed.” - Jace

“It was pretty good overall. My favourite part was seeing my art on display and it made me feel proud.” - Henry

Huge shoutout to everyone involved in the preparation of the Arts’ Showcase. Another shoutout to everyone who attended and stayed until the end. It was truly a wonderful night for all!

-Elliot
