A meaningful new addition to our school grounds

Last week, our Adolescent Program Noorn students planted our very own Bush Tucker Garden, wrapping up a term of learning all about traditional foods and plants.

The students have been incredibly lucky to learn directly from Noongar Elder, Neville Collard, who has guided them through the process and shared his knowledge.

This garden isn't just a collection of plants; it’s going to be a fantastic living resource for the whole school. Next up, the students will be creating plant signs and resources to teach the lower school students all about what's growing.

We’ll be hosting a formal smoking ceremony to officially open the garden soon, date to be confirmed.
